What this is

Totally Cape Town is an independent travel guide covering the city and surrounding region — neighbourhoods, things to do, day trips and practical planning — organised by department rather than published as a stream of blog posts. We started with a deliberately small set of core guides and are adding to them at least weekly.

How we approach content

Each guide aims to answer the question a real traveller is actually asking, with practical, honest detail rather than padded, generic advice. No business can pay us to be featured, ranked higher, or written about more favourably in our guides or hotel directory — that editorial independence doesn't change. Where we're headed

The goal is a genuinely comprehensive Cape Town resource: every neighbourhood, every beach, a full hotel directory, and the whole site translated into 16 languages over time — German and French are live now, with more on the way. Our news page covers Cape Town travel news — new flight routes, seasonal updates and practical changes — rather than site changelog entries.
