The Table Bay Hotel

One of the V&A Waterfront's original grand hotels, The Table Bay sits directly on the harbour with formal, traditional styling and views out toward Table Mountain and Robben Island.

Location

The Table Bay sits at the water's edge within the V&A Waterfront precinct, making it one of the most convenient hotel locations in the city for first-time visitors — shopping, restaurants, the Two Oceans Aquarium and the Robben Island ferry terminal are all a short walk away.

Style

It leans traditional and formal compared to some of the city's newer boutique properties, with classic decor and a service style aimed at a polished, full-service hotel experience. Views from harbour-facing rooms take in the working harbour, the Atlantic, and Table Mountain behind the city.

Who it suits

Well suited to travellers who want a central, safe, walkable base without needing to think much about transport for their first day or two — and who prefer a traditional grand-hotel feel over a smaller boutique stay. Less suited to travellers prioritising beach access, for which the Atlantic Seaboard is a better fit.

Note: Amenities, room categories and current rates change over time — confirm current details directly with the hotel or your booking platform before reserving.
